Storify: Craft Your True Experience From The Page To The Stage
The power of the story is in the “before-and-after” picture we are able to paint for a listener. The process of mining our life for experiences that produce some kind of shift or turning point is transformative for us as human beings, and the process of crafting that lived experience into a story to be shared with others activates the artist within.
This workshop series provides exercises discovering the stories that lie in true, lived experiences, and a step-by-step guide to crafting them from the page to the stage. Learn to look at ordinary and extraordinary life experiences through the storytelling lens, and apply the tools of story development to discover different approaches to sharing them. This training can be an intensive half or full day experience, or take place over 4 weeks with different skills the focus of each class, and time for participants to try out different drafts of their stories. There have never been so many competing demands for attention as there are now when there is so much essential knowledge to communicate.
